Home The Girls The Boys For Sale About Miniature Llamas The Cria (babies)
Please feel free to contact us with any questions... we love to talk about llamas, in fact we talk about little else these days!! ...........Pete & Joyce

"You can't get a swan from a hen's egg". We've made a thorough study of the gene lines that consistently 'throw' quality miniatures. We have invested in what we consider the best gene mix available and from this foundation we are building a miniature llama herd that will consist of beautiful, well-conformed llamas that are cute and personable.

Meet our boys

At the risk of offending feminists everywhere, the most important llamas in our herd are the herdsires because their genes will affect about one third of our crias each year. We have 2 main herdsires each with a different set of characteristics by combining the male's strengths with the better points of our females each cria we produce will improve on their parents and move us one step closer to creating 'the perfect mini'. Additionally we have two junior herdsires who will add considerable strength to our mini program starting in Spring 2009.

Bolivian Treasured Jewel

Big Poppa came to us from a renowned breeder in Oregon, his sire was not a mini but research showed that he produced a high proportion of small offspring, this is consistent with the gene-lines in his background. We love Big's flashy ginger & white paint scheme which is passed down from his sire, grandsire and great-grandsire. At 36 inches, "Big", is the smallest of our males, he stands with a lot of presence, has a ramrod straight back and attractive high tail-set. Big's first cria are on the ground and he has exceeded our expectations by passing on his great bone structure and, as we hoped, the ginger and white coloring, check out the "cria" page and the 'for sale' page to see what we mean.

Bolivian Radical

ACM Northern Dream Girl

Radical Dreamer is an unusual member of a mini-llama breeding program. We acquired Dreamer from Canada in order to include suri characteristics in our herd; we both admire the silky fine characteristics of a suri fleece and Dreamer has one of the nicest we've encountered. He also has exceptional stretch (a nice long straight neck) and excellent rear extension (long legs with good athletic stride). These are desireable characteristics in any llama but especially difficult to maintain in a smaller animal. He comes from the amazing Canadian suri Bolivian Radical, and his dam - ACM Northern Dream Girl - is out of the famous suri Bolivian Twister. All of that makes our little Dreamer a very well-connected third generation suri on both sides. He would not look out of place in any high-quality suri herd. Dreamer began breeding in 2008 we can't wait to see the beautiful crias that he'll produce when bred with our mini girls. We are focussing on stretch and fiber in his offspring.

Spectrum's Zoey

Echo was born on the farm and we are keeping him as a junior herdsire. He's out of our 'Peruvian Maximo' line. We own his Dam, grand-dam and two half-sisters (one since sold), every one is a mini with excellent conformation, great stretch and truly athletic smooth movement - we are the only mini farm with these genes and we feel we have something very special. This line seems to improve with age and puts on lots of bone and extra stretch in the growth year from 2yo to 3yo. Echo was a 3rd place mini at show as a juvenile and most recently 1st place as a yearling, he'll begin his breeding career in 2010.

CWML Korrine

This little guy is very special, his geneology reads like a who's who of great mini lines with Razzell Dazzell in his sire's line and Bolivian Crown Jewells on the dam's side. On top of that he's about as cute as any llama you'll ever meet, always friendly, curious and alert. He is fascinated by children , we took him to the 2008 NC State fair and I lost count of how many people asked to have their picture taken with him. He's very small and correct, in fact he brought home the Reserve Grand Champion banner from that show - very unusual for a juvenile to score that highly with a judge. At the 2009 VA Classic he reached up and gave the judge a kiss as she ran her hand along his topline (might have helped him to win his second Reserve Champion?). We think he's going to be even smaller than our main stud Big Poppa. Fiberman will begin breeding in 2010 we can't wait to combine his genes with our terrific mini girls.

Fiberman, his dam and her full sister are proudly co-owned with our good friends Dale & Kathy Mclean
